Choosing the wrong legal software doesn’t just waste budget. It disrupts your entire firm. I’ve watched that happen firsthand, from the inside, across small boutique practices and large international firms. After 35 years working in and around law firm operations, I know exactly how much is riding on getting that decision right.

Today I work at The Legal Practice as a Legal Operations and Technology Specialist, where I evaluate legal software across case management, billing, CRM, document automation, and AI, and turn that research into buyer guides and comparison frameworks that help law firms choose technology that actually works in practice.

Before moving into legal tech evaluation full-time, I spent six years as an independent Legal Operations Analyst, advising small and mid-sized law firms on workflow design and system selection. Prior to that, I spent 11 years at DLA Piper as a Practice Operations Lead, working directly with attorneys and administrative teams to support matter management, client intake, billing workflows, and the rollout of practice management systems across a large, complex legal environment. Earlier in my career, I held legal operations and coordinator roles at Cooley LLP for over a decade, where I built foundational expertise in document management, records coordination, and firm-wide workflow efficiency.

I hold a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin, a combination that lets me evaluate legal technology from both a legal and operational business perspective.
